Mirco Comparini graduated in Economic Sciences from the G.Marconi University of Rome with a degree thesis on franchising entitled “Franchising: an important and delicate ‘tool’ for the birth, development and growth of businesses”. He is a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts (ODCEC) of Livorno and has been practising as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor since 1988. He is also a Founding Associate Professional of Studio Comparini & Russo since 1990.

Formerly an Expert and Technical Consultant of the Court of Livorno, formerly a Mediator at the Mediation Organism of the DCEC of Livorno and enrolled in the Register of Credit Mediators and the List of Arbitrators and Conciliators c/o the Chamber of Commerce of Livorno.

Journalist Publicist enrolled in the Order of Journalists of Tuscany on 2012 and, in addition to various editorial collaborations since 2000, since 2008, he has collaborated permanently with the specialised magazine “AZ Franchising” since 2019 with the multimedia system of professional updating “Sistema Ratio”, since 2021 with the online publication Outsider News and from 2020 until 2021 I have collaborated with the multimedia system of professional updating “Fiscal Focus”.

Since 2013, he has directly edited a specialised blog on the topic of franchising and commercial networks and, since 2017, another blog as an “opinion columnist” on local and national current affairs topics of personal passion. Between 1991 and 2004, he took on numerous roles and positions, including legal representation, within the institutional bodies of the professional category at a local, regional and national level. From 2021 to 2022, he again assumed the position of President of the National Association of Chartered Accountants in Livorno.

Since 2023, he has been a Member of the ‘Accounting-Fiscal-Legal Audit’ Commission of the Livorno ODCEC and a Member of the ‘Deontology’ Commission of the CNDDEC. Over time, he has acquired particular professional skills providing consultancy, auditing and assistance in the following sectors:

• Accounting and company taxation;
• Budget analysis;
• Auditing and accounting and legal control;
• Corporate and commercial law;
• Contracts for btob and btoc;
• Franchising (and other commercial networks) for affiliates and franchisors;
• Operational and administrative business planning and organisation;
• Teaching, training and updating on subjects of professional competence.

Lecturer and speaker in training courses, masters, conventions and seminars on franchising and other technical subjects pertaining to the profession. Author of numerous editorial contributions and professional refresher handouts.

For more than 25 years, franchising consultancy and assistance have been professional specialisations with activities carried out for the design, preparation and start-up of new networks, for the analysis of new affiliations also for well-known national and international brands, for contractual, managerial and operational interventions, and for the management of specific problems arising from typical franchisee/franchisee relationships.

Over the years, he has obtained certificates of passing international online courses on the subject of franchising, such as: “Franchising Basics: the Official IFA Course” and “IFA Franchise Toolkit” organised by the International Franchise Association, in collaboration with the IFA Educational Foundation and the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives; “BFA Prospect Franchisee Certificate” and “BFA Prospect Franchisor Certificate” organised by the British Franchise Association (BFA); “Franchise Training Academy Course” and “Franchising My Business Course” organised by the Quality Franchise Association (QFA) and Runo Group; “Franchise Pre-Entry Online Training” organised by the Franchise Association of New Zeland (FANZ). Partner/Director of Professional Group SRL (1998), for which he directly manages the Franchising Analysis Division and of Comparini & Russo SRL (2004).

Promoter and Founder of IREF Italia (April 2012), he was its National President until July 2018. Formerly an auditor at Bureau Veritas for the certification of commercial networks “IREF Italia/Bureau Veritas”, he oversaw the preparation of the Italian version of the specification.

Awarded a ‘Diploma d’Honneur’ in 2013 by the French Ministry of Foreign Trade, the President of the Chambers of Commerce of France and the President and V.President of Federation IREF and subsequently awarded other ‘Special Recognitions’, again in France by Federation IREF. First creator and first draftsman of the basic text of the proposal to reform the franchising sector and commercial networks, followed by the joint elaboration and promotion of IREF Italy, AZ Franchising and ANCommercialisti. From September 2014 to October 2015 (resigned), he was Sole Director of Farma. Li. Salt, is a publicly-owned company that manages the network of Municipal Pharmacies in the City of Livorno. From 2020 to 2022, after taking care of the contractual and operational set-up, he was Chief Operating Officer of the company Revilaw srl in Verona, the first professional network of Legal Auditors.
